pixelconcept awarded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for sustainable corporate culture

Berlin, 05.10.2018 // pixelconcept GmbH has passed the audit "Sustainable Corporate Culture" of the initiative New Quality of Work and was awarded for this by the responsible state secretary in the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Leonie Gebers, and the managing director of the demography agency, Lutz Stratmann. A total of 20 companies, administrations and associations received this certificate for their commitment to good working conditions.

State Secretary Leonie Gebers at the award ceremony: "Attractive working conditions and a modern corporate culture and personnel policy are now more than ever a key to successful employers. In times of technological and demographic change, they are an important driving force for the innovative strength of companies, administrations and associations, as well as for securing Germany's skilled workforce base. Digitization in particular will place completely new demands on work organization and management. That is why it is good if employers set out together with their employees to make their corporate culture fit for the future and successfully manage the change in the world of work".

Many ideas and approaches from the whole team

The project was supported and carried by all employees. Therefore many different ideas from different departments came together. In addition to measures to promote health and to improve the compatibility of family and career, a cross-departmental schedule was drawn up to simplify the induction and integration of new colleagues. These measures and ideas were developed in various workshops. As a further aspect of cooperation in the teams, a new way of communication was decided upon. A new digital platform has been created for internal communication, in which topics are taken up by and for employees.

Lutz Stratmann, Managing Director of the Demography Agency: "Digital transformation, demography and the change in values are leading to fundamental changes in our working world. This is associated with great opportunities and challenges. With the "Sustainable Corporate Culture" award, we are highlighting those organizations that have successfully seized the opportunities and decided to embark on change processes. Employees are at the center of attention in order to jointly develop and implement tailored, culture-changing measures and to be supported by the social partners.

The auditing process began with a written survey of employees and management. This identified initial challenges and areas for improvement in terms of working conditions and corporate culture. In a project group then set up, in which employees and management were equally represented, the company drew up a comprehensive development plan. Finally, the concrete measures in the areas of leadership, equal opportunities, health, knowledge and competence were implemented jointly. The entire process was supported by Constantinus van der Kruijs, the process supervisor.
