Digital Automotive Days in Würzburg
The Digital Automotive Days took place on June 5, 2019. At the VCC Würzburg (Vogel Convention Center), participants were able to find out how car dealerships can now use digitalization to accelerate processes, strengthen customer loyalty and reduce costs. For pixelconcept it was a successful premiere event.
New format for digital car dealership and online marketing
The innovative event format offered expert tips on topics such as:
- Shop systems
- ideal website
- digital process management and online marketing with the focus on customer portals
- anticipatory servicing
The participants were promised at least three ideas with which they can improve their digital marketing strategies in the future. The event was primarily aimed at the digital managers of car dealerships.
Digitalisation: Opportunities for car dealerships
Probably the most important trend in the automotive industry at the moment is online marketing. It generates incredible opportunities, but also challenges, which made the "Digital Automotive Days" tangible. It was a kick-off event that will be continued in the future. It was organized by the trade magazine kfz-betrieb, which was able to win TÜV Nord and BDK (Bank Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe) as sponsors.
Workshop formats dominated the event. The participants were able to meet at four competence islands and work out their own progress in discussions. An editor from kfz-betrieb was responsible for each of these islands, inviting industry experts to contribute their live experiences on specific topics. Within this framework, experts from pixelconcept were also able to contribute their expertise and at the same time take up important impulses from industry colleagues.
The latest developments in the industry were taken up, such as predictive maintenance. This is predictive maintenance, where customers receive a service offer before damage is caused by worn tyres, worn pipes or insufficient oil. Digitally networked vehicles now automatically send maintenance requests to the dealership. For older cars, the well-maintained customer database is helpful. A central topic of particular interest for pixelconcept are shop systems with which dealers can promote their own online sales. The digital change is in full swing here, as the Würzburg Digital Automotive Days impressively demonstrated.
