GWListe was founded in 2006 and since then it sees itself as a dealer network. The company is located in Wuppertal (Germany) and works with a team of more than 20 permanent employees and freelancers.

GWListe mainly markets used vehicles which are offered exclusively to professional car dealers. Since the beginning of 2018, GWListe has been part of the CarsOnTheWeb group, which was acquired in February 2019 by KAR Auction Services, a global automotive company for remarketing and technology services.

In 2018, the GW list reached a brokerage volume of more than 16,000 vehicles.
